Registration is now open for the Pueblo Science March Break Camp. The program, which runs from March 14 to 18, is a full day camp for kids currently in grades 1 – 6. Kids will experience hands-on science experiments that provoke critical thinking through evidence-based learning. If you are interested in supporting the education of children who would not otherwise be able to attend, a tax deductible donation of $300 will help ensure that no child is turned away due to financial need. More information on donations and is available online.
Pueblo Science has also been busy educating and entertaining children at events in Waterloo and Toronto at their popular Science on Ice events. On December 3 over 2,000 school children in Waterloo enjoyed the Science on Ice show and hands-on experiments (video available online) while on January 6 an additional 2,000 attended the event at the Mattamy Athletic Centre at Ryerson University. Pueblo also partnered with the Royal Canadian Institute for the Advancement of Science (RCI) to present FUN FOR KIDS with Russell Zeid. The event had 40 children aged 6 through 12 experience the forces of physics through a series of demonstrations by Russell Zeid and hands-on experiments with Pueblo Science volunteers participating during an hour of science discovery and fun.
